Prince Of Persia Sand of Time The Movie

Jordan Mechner has been given the opportunity to adapt the famous franchise video game he contributed to create, Prince of Persia, to the cinema.
Tthe film, titled Prince of Persia The Sands of Time, is an adaptation from the 2003 video game with the same name.

The movie is directed by Mike Newell and is starring Jake Gyllenhaal as the lead role. It is scheduled to be released in May 2010.



The plot:
"Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a 6th century prince of Persia who teams up with Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) to rescue the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that controls time, from the hands of the villainous nobleman, Nizam (Ben Kingsley)."
